I created the ‘Nacoco Drive’ for Nacoco’s Birthday in mid 2024. During the build I already started to get some ideas for a version 2, which I developed in the following months.
The main inspiration for the color palette was Nacoco’s live performance at West Bridge, Seoul. I thought the stage lighting had a great ambiance to it so figured I’d capture that red/magenta/blue light vibe by having a multi color LED ring light on the foot switch, which changes depending on which clipping mode you select. Then to match the outfit & mask I went with black/white for the main pedal & font color, and since the Nacoco NCT-01 guitar is pink, added pink knobs
While the first NACOCO Drive Pedal was just a single custom one-off pedal, this time I decided to make 3 pedals and marked them inside as well – Perhaps Nacoco will do something fun with the extra pedals. Just like the first pedal I used some empty space on the PCB to add a unofficial logo for Nacoco (2 different versions) since I love how it looks with the exposed gold.
